I had BruceLang start following me on twitter and I seen an interesting article by him 5 Things You Should Know About Making The Digg Front Page. His website died from the slashdot effect. How do you survive the digg/slashdot effect. I am not going to take the time to go through what you need to do, there are plenty of articles out there. I think the general idea is to get a good webhost,  and have simple webpages or a way to make them static-like.  Question is would I survive the slashdot effect?  Not sure if I will ever know

So I made a few changes to the website with some different wordpress widgets. I added a google ajax search, my twitter updates, and a cool 3d tag cloud. What you think? My next goal is to find a photo gallery I like. My problem is I love the google one and wish I could integrate it.

Ok my last post was Almost Spring, well now its offically spring and feels like winter. It snowed a bit yesterday, and now is in the 30’s again. Havent been up to much. Went to the piano lounge last friday night, and had a few beers with the condo association neighbors. Other then that I havent been up to much, I am looking forward to posting a blackberry app review soon.

This weekend was mostly spent outside. The weather has been in the 50’s and its starting to feel like spring. I am sure we will get one more snow storm of the year, but for the meantime I am going to soak up the sun.  On Saturday we sat outside in the sun even though it was a little windy, then that evening we went out to eat with the neighbors in the condo association.  The joke was we the entire trailer park was going out to eat. We dined at The Outback, the first time I ate there in Cedar Rapids. Last time I ate at the outback I was not impressed with their steaks, since I love to cover my steak with garlic salt, so I ordered a bacon cheeseburger mmmm. Sunday was also slack, we went for a bike ride, only rode about 2 miles, but thats far when I got the cart with kids on it. Well that concludes my weekend enjoy now its time for bed.

Ok so its not friday the 13th anymore… but I need to recap what happened that night.

So Kayla and I were going to a movie, it was snowing out and the roads were icey, and on the way I get in an Accident. Dont worry I am safe, even the car wasnt hurt, but here is what happened. I was in the turning lane to make a left turn, and here comes the Dominos Pizza Delivery man trying to make the turn… He was slidding right toward me. So he ended running into my tire… and didnt do any damage. I was so happy I was able to contine on my way to the Movies. We ended up watching the movie “International” about a international bank buying and selling weapsons. The movie ended up being ok, with a little confussion.  So watch at your own risk.

OK.. let me explain this. Kayla and I seen on the news people taking hot water and throwing it in the freezing air, and watching the water turn to steam or freeze before it hits the ground.  So we had to try it!!!!

Alright its officially 2009 now, and I would like to write a new post to roll in the new year with. Since Kayla and I have never went out for News Years, we got a babysitter and we went to the Cedar Rapids Piano Lounge. They had a piano duels which was pretty good. Since we didn’t get a seat right away, we stood toward the back, and at the table right in front of us was some Lesbians… Never seen so many girls kiss. Kayla would want me to make sure I mention how drunk she was… but she was just annoying, I only had to tell her to shut up once in the car. Other then that… it has been a pretty easy going day.
