Insignia NS-DV720P Video Testing

Here is a couple of videos I uploaded with my new Insignia NS-DV720P

Original price the camera is $129.99 but we bought it on black friday sale at bestbuy.com for $69.99. I was hoping for better quality being an HD camera, but its hard to tell due to no natural lighting. Overall its easy to get the videos off the camera. It stores the videos on the 8GB SD card I bought for it. The videos copy off the device quickly unlike my blackberry, but none of my videos were over 1 or 2 minutes. The photo camera on it wasnt very good in the non-natural light. I will try to post some videos and pictures when I can take it outside.  Due to its cheap price I give it a 3.5 out of 5.

The story of the 12 foot christmas tree

Today we setup our twelve foot christmas tree we bought on clearance last year. I wasnt sure why I agreed to it, but whatever, it looks good now that its all setup.  It was really hard to get a good photo of the tree since it was so tall.

New Website Theme

I decided to ditch the vista looking wordpress theme, and moved on. Its hard to find a theme that fits your website. I am not 100% set on the theme I have now, but it will have to do. I am looking for a 2 column theme with fluid width, I like my website to fill up my web browser, which is important when you have a wide screen monitor. The theme name I am using now is fluid-solution. What you think? I think I am going to update the contact form next.

Portable Apps

Its been a while since I posted, and since then I found out a wonderful application. Its called Portable Apps. You install it to your usb flash drive and whatever computer you go to you have access to your favorite apps. Well maybe not all your favorite apps, but the ones available on the portable apps website, here is the link to apps available. I went ahead and installed firefox, vlc, 7-zip, pidgin,notepad++, and putty. Some of the applications are open source, while others are freeware if it makes a difference to you, of course they will all be virus/spyware free. Its friday!!! Other then that I dont have much hehe. I took today off and I thoroughly enjoyed it!. Went for a run, working my way up, so I can run a 5k in October, that reminds me I should sign up! Been busy with school, lectures take alot of time, I wish I had a netbook to watch them while I am donating plasma.

Other then that not much new! just going to enjoy my 4 day weekend. Be safe over labor day!

End of Summer Update

Been busy… aka lazy over the summer. So I thought I would give an end of summer update. School has started for Abigail, Kayla, and myself. Abigail started kindergarten. Kayla is going back for business, and I am going to ISU for my masters in Systems Engineering. Its been a crazy cold summer so far. not sure what is up with the weather, but its been better then 100 degree days. Other then that, I dont have much to say… Enjoy the rest of the summer.
